“Despicable Me 4” is Universal Pictures’ biggest film in Brazil

The movie “Despicable Me 4″ was Universal Pictures’ best-performing feature film in Brazil. Since its premiere in July, the animated sequel has grossed more than R$ 144 million at the box office with an audience of 7.4 million.

According to Universal, the fourth film in the animated series also reached other important milestones, such as the biggest film in the franchise, the biggest Illumination film and the biggest Universal Pictures animated film ever released in Brazil.

In the new plot, which is still showing, Gru, Lucy and their daughters, Margô, Edith and Agnes, welcome a new member of the family, Gru Jr., whose purpose is, basically, to torment his father.

At the same time, the antihero faces new enemies, such as Maxime Le Mal and his femme fatale girlfriend, Valentina, who are so malevolent that they leave the Gru family no choice but to flee, and also encounters new characters, such as Poppy, a surprising aspiring villain.
