Clearstream, the trade unit of the German stock exchange Deutsche Boerse, already this year plans to launch storage and calculations in digital assets for institutional investors.

According to Bloomberg, 2,500 Deutsche Boerse institutional clients will gain access to BTC and ETH in April. For this, Clearstream will use the services of the Swiss division Deutsche Boerse Crypto Finance AG.

The launch of such services is due to a significant increase in demand for regulated infrastructure for working with digital assets by institutional customers. At the same time, in the future, Clearstream plans to expand the list of services. Services such as stake, lending and brokerage services will be added.

“Thanks to this proposal, we create a comprehensive solution for storage, brokerage services and calculations,” said Jens Hachmeister, head of the services for issuers and new Clearstream.

Recall that in September last year, the German bank Commerzbank launched Bitcoin and Ether trading, and the infrastructure for new services provided Deutsche Boerse.
