deVere Group: more than half of Gen Z are ready to receive 50% of their salary in cryptocurrency

A survey by financial advisory firm deVere Group found that it can become quite common for millennials and Gen Z to interview salary in BTC or ETH in interviews.

According to the survey, 36% of millennials (born between 1980 and 1996) and 51% of Gen Z (born between 1997 and 2012) are ready
receive salaries in cryptocurrency.

Nigel Green, CEO and founder of deVere, suggested that millennials have watched the cryptocurrency market grow with them since the introduction of Bitcoin in 2009. During this period of millennials’ lives, the crypto industry has grown significantly.

“They were influenced by a huge surge in technology as they became adults. They are comfortable to use and see the value and huge potential of digital currencies. ”

Nigel Greene added that since more than a third of millennials and half of Gen Z will be happy to receive 50% of their salary in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, they clearly believe that cryptocurrency is the inevitable future of money.

Focusing on the requests of new generations, the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase in September launched the opportunity for US citizens to receive a salary in cryptocurrency. Following the American exchange, the Strike cryptocurrency wallet has added a function for converting salaries into bitcoins.
