Devils 2, Alessandro Borghi and Patrick Dempsey: “The border between good and evil”

For the Devils there is no good and evil, there are no clear boundaries. It all depends on the choices you make, and where you look at the same story. The Devils in question are Alessandro Borghi and Patrick Dempsey, and they returned. More unscrupulous? More human? Who knows, even in this case the outlines are not clear, and then we need to get to the last episode (in all there are eight) of thehighly anticipated new season of the series Devils, based on the novel by writer and financier Guido Maria Brera (a Sky Original and Lux Vide production), and now broadcast on Sky Atlantic and streamed on NOW.

We are between London and Milan, and in the background what we all know takes place: Brexit, the arrival of the pandemic. “It was not possible to overlook Covid, Devils he reads events in a world that is constantly evolving ”, explains Luca Bernabei, CEO of Lux Vide. “In Devils 2 there is the beginning of today, today diplomacy has failed, the war has arrived », continues Brera.

Meanwhile, the devils are always pulling the strings of world finance (and not only them). “This second season”, says Borghi, “is much more beautiful than the first, thereit is a stronger human component, we bring the characters to investigate themselves. My Massimo Ruggero is a character already broken, full of losses, cynical. The Return of Dominic Morgan (Dempsey, ed) leads him to a new comparison. It is a series in which the distinction between good and evil cannot exist, there is a constant exchange of roles. What is good and what is bad ?. It depends on the perspective we adopt, on the choices we make ».

Massimo Ruggero and Dominic Morgan

Despite everything, the bond between Massimo and Dominic remains very strong: “The real glue is the love they feel for each other,” continues the Roman actor. “I’ve always seen Dempsey as a father. I’ve always liked friendship. Because it is a curious fact, you do not know why you are friends with someone. And then the two of them are the best at what they know how to do, they are two champions, like Pele and Maradona ».
