The Federal District Civil Police (PCDF) arrested, on Wednesday (2), preventively a man who was owned by farms for events in the administrative region of Brazlândia, about 50 kilometers from central Brasilia.
According to the corporation, the investigated was arrested in the Region of Sol Nascente, where a search warrant was also fulfilled. False ads were published on Instagram and Facebook, with photos of real properties in Brazilia.
When interested parties came into contact, he passed on details of the rent and charged a signal to ensure the reservation of the space. After payment, the scammer stopped responding to the victims.
The investigation pointed out that, in order to make money tracking, the suspect used “contents”, people who give bank accounts to receive the amounts. Police also found that the scammer made online shopping and indicated the seller’s account to pay what they thought was the lease. The man, who had already been involved in estelionate earlier, made at least 10 victims.
