DHEDGE protocol adds Polygon support and SushiSwap integration

The developers of the decentralized asset management protocol dHEDGE have launched a new version on the second layer of Ethereum Polygon and added integration with SushiSwap.

DHEDGE founder Henrik Andersson said the second version of the protocol includes a new Secure Open Access Transaction Framework (GOAT), which gives users of the new version the ability to access DeFi applications whitelisted by dHEDGE’s decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

Anderson stressed that the GOAT framework will significantly increase the speed of dHEDGE integration with third-party protocols. He declared:

“Instead of creating custom plugins or connections to DApps, we can use this structure to whitelist DApps.”

The first iteration of dHEDGE was launched in late 2020 and allowed fund managers to speculate assets in the Synthetix protocol. The GOAT v2 infrastructure enables fund managers to access assets and services of any protocol based on the DAO dHEDGE-approved Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which enables users to access “profitable farming” services.

The second version of the dHEDGE protocol is also integrated with the second level solution Polygon and the SushiSwap decentralized exchange. dHEDGE is exploring the possibility of integrating with Aave, as this will allow asset managers to borrow a wide range of cryptoassets for sale. He added that dHEDGE plans to launch the second version of the protocol on other EVM-compliant networks, including Optimism and Arbitrum.

Integration with Polygon, in addition to expanding the protocol functionality, contributed to the reduction of gas charges in dHEDGE v2. The high fees associated with Ethereum level 1 trading have reduced the efficiency of the protocol in recent months.

As a reminder, the developers of Harvest Finance, one of the first DeFi “profitable farming” protocols, recently deployed application tools on the second layer of Ethereum’s Polygon network. The Tidal Finance insurance protocol was also recently launched on Polygon.
