Capcom has revealed new information about the new horror movie Resident Evil Village, naming the platforms on which the game will be available, as well as the release date.

Those interested can try out the demo version of Resident Evil Village, which is currently only available on one platform. Unfortunately, there are not so many PlayStation 5 owners so far, because only users of this console can test the game. The demo, dubbed Maiden, is available for download from the PlayStation Store.
Capcom claims Maiden is slightly different from the traditional demo. Rather than playing through part of the full game, Maiden is “a kind of short side story that takes place in the same world as Resident Evil Village, but at a different time from the main story.” In the demo you will play as a girl trying to escape from a castle in the center of Resident Evil Village. Capcom immediately noted that there are no fight scenes in Maiden, but there are enough frightening moments there.
As for the trailer, it introduces us to the said castle and its inhabitants, in particular, Lady Dimitrescu and her three daughters. In addition to the trailer, Capcom also showed gameplay and combat moments, announcing that we will face new enemies with different fighting styles and that the hero will have more options for defense.
Capcom also announced that as part of its 25th anniversary celebration of Resident Evil, those who buy Resident Evil Village will also have access to Resident Evil Re: Verse, which features “fan favorite characters fighting in familiar locations in the Resident Evil universe.”
The game will be released on May 7, 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Steam. PlayStation 4 North America will have a free digital upgrade to PlayStation 5, and Xbox One will use Smart Delivery.
