Dies Tony Roberts, actor of “Neurotic Groom, Nervous Bride”, at the age of 85

The versatile actor Tony Roberts who has already received nominations to Tony Award for his work at the theater and appeared in several director films Woody Allen died at the age of 85. The news was released last Friday (7).

Roberts’ death information was passed on to The New York Times by actor’s daughter Nicole Burley.

Roberts is known for his work with director Woody Allen. He participated in the feature films “Dreams of a Seducer” (1972), “Neurotic Groom, Nervous Bride” (1977), “Memories” (1980), “Erotic Dreams of a Summer Night” (1982), “Hannah and his sisters ”(1986) and“ The Age of Radio ”(1987) of the director.

Tony Roberts was also known for his work at Broadway. He was nominated for Tony – considered the main theater prize in the United States – for his performance in the musical “How Now, Dow Jones” (1968) and the play “Dreams of a Seducer” by Woody Allen.

In 2016, Roberts launched his autobiography “Do You Know Me?” (without publication in Brazil).
