Diesel price drops slightly at Brazilian gas stations, says ANP

After weeks of highs and readjustments, all fuels surveyed by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) registered a drop this week. The information is in the Agency bulletin released this Friday (27). However, all retreats were less than 1% in the average price, according to data from the Agency’s price survey.

Diesel, which had the most recent price adjustment by Petrobras for distributors, recorded a drop of around three cents in the average price of a liter. This week, the fuel was found at R$ 6.91, compared to R$ 6.94 observed in the last week. The S10 diesel registered the same decline and was found with an average price of R$ 7.04.

Regular gasoline was found at R$ 7.25, and also registered a drop of two cents in the average price of the liter. It is the second consecutive week of decline in price. The state of São Paulo registered the most expensive gasoline in the country this week, costing R$ 8.59, in the cities of Barueri and São Paulo.

Cooking gas recorded a drop in the average price of the cylinder for the third consecutive week, from R$112.89 last week to R$112.70. However, in states like Santa Catarina, the product was found costing R$ 160.

On the other hand, vehicular natural gas, or CNG, had the average price per cubic meter costing R$ 5.23. The state of Mato Grosso was where the fuel had the lowest price, being found at R$ 3.18. Ethanol, another option for fueling light vehicles, fell for the fourth consecutive week with a liter price of R$5.18.
