Diesel price rises again in November at Brazilian service stations, says Ticket Log

The average price of diesel at service stations in Brazil has risen again after three months of consecutive declines, according to the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a brand for fleet management and mobility solutions by Edenred Brasil.

A few days before the end of the month, the average price of a liter of common diesel rose by 0.8% at gas stations, at R$ 7.02 per liter. If compared to the average of November last year, which was R$ 5.61 per liter, the high reaches 25%.

With S-10 diesel, the upward variations followed the same trend, sold at R$ 7.11, compared to R$ 7.06 in October.

“With the exception of the Southeast Region, service stations rose again in almost the entire national territory”, said Douglas Pina, general director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil.

“When we analyzed the first half of November, we already identified this behavior of advance in prices, which is confirmed at the end of the month, with the highest variation in Sergipe, which was 3.38% for the common type, and in Ceará, 2.64 % for the S-10.”

In the Southeast, common diesel dropped 0.13% – compared to the end of October – at R$6.67, while S-10 remained stable, sold at R$6.80. The North region leads with the highest values for fuel, with the common type at R$ 7.44 (+0.94%) and the S-10 at R$ 7.543 (+1.09%).

The IPTL is calculated based on fueling carried out at the 21,000 Ticket Log accredited service stations.
