During the year, 8,888,292 digital cameras were sold – 41.6% less than in 2019. In monetary terms, the market shrank by 29.4%.
3,578,643 cameras with fixed lenses were sold – 47.0% less than in 2019. In monetary terms, this segment decreased by 41.3%.
5,307,649 interchangeable lens cameras were sold in a year, which is 37.3% less than in 2019. In monetary terms, this segment decreased by 24.8%. Let’s clarify that 2,374,569 SLR cameras were sold, which is 47.3% less than in 2019. In monetary terms, sales of DSLRs brought manufacturers 44.6% less revenue than in 2019. Mirrorless cameras were sold in a year 2,933,080 units. This is 25.9% less than in 2019, but in monetary terms, this segment decreased by only 12.5%.
Interchangeable lens sales declined 36.6% year over year. A total of 9,024,460 lenses were sold. In monetary terms, sales decreased by 31.0%.
