The “Digital Care” program

Building on the experiential familiarization of the educational community with new technologies, to which e-learning also contributed decisively, and in the framework of our strategic planning to achieve an inclusive digital educational model, 140 million euros are invested in the purchase of technological equipment (tablet, laptop , desktop) via a voucher system. “Digital Care” is a program of the Ministries of Education and Religions, Finance, Development and Investment, Labor and Social Affairs and Digital Governance, which is implemented by the “Information Society MAE”. The program is part of the National Recovery Plan “Greece 2.0” and is one of the first projects being implemented at pan-European level, which use funds from the European Union Recovery and Sustainability Fund.

The digital transformation of education is taking place at a rapid pace, with significant investments for the radical upgrade of public networks and information systems, the strengthening of the technological equipment of all educational structures and the upgrading of their connection to the internet, the creation of an extensive digital educational system. in the context of the reform of the curricula, the increase of the students’ contact with the new technologies in the school, and the implementation of training programs of the teachers and trainers for the use of digital educational tools. Digital skills are a valuable lifeline for everyone in the age of the global knowledge society. It is our absolute priority to ensure that participation in the digital transformation of education concerns every young man and woman, for every teacher, public or private school, with special provision for the most vulnerable social groups.

We provide additional digital tools for today and tomorrow, to all our teachers. We care, we support, we strengthen.
