Digital Conference on: ‘Smart cities, digitization and data management – Experiences and good practices of Greece and Germany’

A digital conference on “Smart Cities, Digitization and Data Management – Experiences and Good Practices” is organized on Tuesday, May 10, by the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Economic and Commercial Offices of the Hellenic Presbyterian Consulate. Of Greece in Munich and the Consulate General of Greece in Dusseldorf.

The keynote speaker of the event will be Mr. Theodoros Libanios, Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, while the opening speeches will be addressed by Mr. Giannis Smyrlis, Secretary General of International Economic Relations and Extroversion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Republic of Germany, and Mr. Konstantinos Marangos, President of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

As part of the digital conference, two panels will be held in the thematic sections: “Transition to the smart city of the future” and “Collection, processing and management of urban data in smart cities (Collecting and (f) using urban data)”, under the coordination of the Professor Konstantinos Antoniou, TUM School of Engineering and Design, Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering, Member of the steering committee of the Hellenic Network of Business Executives in Bavaria.

In the second digital panel will be placed Dr. Henning Duderstadt, Head of Innovation Office and co-project manager of Open Innovation, City Bielefeld, Mr. George Pipelidis, CEO and Co-Founder Ariadne Maps GmbH, Mr. Periklis Terlixidis, Executive Director of ahedd Digital Innovation Hub (Attica for the Economy of Data and Devices) NCSR Demokritos, Mr. Dimitris G. Liatsis, Economist, Partner of Bluedrop & CFO SK Group, who will refer to the “Role of Call Centers in Smart Cities”, and Ms. Betty Charalambopoulou, Managing Director & President of Geosystems Hellas SA, which will present “euPOLIS & HARMONIA projects, a collaboration with the Municipality of Piraeus”.

The aim of this project is on the one hand the promotion of planned projects at national and local level in the two countries as well as activities of Greek and German research centers and companies, which are active in the field of Smart Cities and on the other hand the exchange of ideas and promotion of collaborations in this field. .

The event, which will be held in Greek and German with interpretation and has no participation fee, is addressed to scientists, research organizations and companies from Greece and Germany. During the event participants will have the opportunity to ask their questions.
