THE digital influencer Emma Spinner, 31 years old, was arrested on Monday night (17) in Betim, Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte . THE Federal Highway Police (PRF) served an open arrest warrant against Spinner during a routine inspection on BR-262.
The influencer, born in Divinópolis and residing in the United States on a temporary visa, is responsible for the crimes of extortion slanderous accusation, religious discrimination qualified by the use of social networks, racial slur , threat , slander and defamation qualified by the use of social media .
The indictment took place in September by Civil Police after investigations that identified more than 30 victims and 21 police reports registered.
Spinner was taken to the Judiciary Police Station in Betim (MG). According to the Civil Police, she used social media to commit crimes, causing psychological and financial damage to the victims.
THE CNN tries to contact the influencer’s defense team for a position on the case.
Indictment
Resident in the United States, Emma used her social media which had more than 70 thousand followers, to threaten, extort and practice racial insults, in addition to other crimes against honor and religious discrimination. The investigations, which began in June, identified more than 30 victims and 21 police reports were registered.
The influencer demanded money from some victims in exchange for an end to the offenses and false accusations. Even with the denial of payment and the removal of her main profiles at the request of the police, she continued the virtual attacks by creating new accounts.
