Digital transformation of medical practices with funding from the European Union

In the action of the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, which is being implemented in the context of the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience with the funding of the European Union, doctors and medical companies have joined, after the continuous efforts of the Medical Association of Athens and its president Giorgos Patoulis.

More specifically, medical services as eligible K.A.D. are beneficiaries in program I (Digital Media Tools) and in program III (Digital Transactions) and which concern financing for the utilization and enhancement of new products and services as well as the acquisition of new digital tools to support digital transactions in existing businesses.

In particular, doctors and medical companies of any legal form can join the action, with a date of start and establishment/recommendation before 01/01/2022 and are active as businesses on the date of submission of the funding application. Beneficiaries of the program are included in distinct categories based on employment (dependent work) with assistance starting at 900 euros and gradually reaching 18,000 euros. The deadline for submitting applications for funding is Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

“This is a first step for the digital upgrade and modernization of the medical sector in the midst of a pandemic and growing economic crisis. We continue the efforts and pressures on the competent bodies for the integration of the clinics and new financing programs for fixed equipment, operating expenses, etc. .e.g. for both new and existing businesses”, said ISA president Giorgos Patoulis.
