The alleged protagonists of the Folli Follie scandal, Dimitris and George Koutsolioutsos, are being released on restrictive terms, while their trial for a series of crimes is ongoing in the Three-Member Criminal Court of Appeal. In any case, the length of the trial, which is planned to be long, due to the volume of the case and the witnesses (but also the beginning of the recent period), leads to the exhaustion of 18 months of temporary detention, which is the maximum temporary detention for all defendants. on March 9th.
Thus, the two main defendants in the Folli Follie case, who are being tried before the Three-Member Criminal Court of Athens together with 8 other people for a series of financial offenses, were decided to be released on restrictive conditions in order to ensure the presence of the defendants in the ongoing criminal trial. These conditions are a ban on leaving the country, a ban on removal from the Prefecture of Attica and an appearance on the first five days of each month at the police station of their residence.
The court ruling, which leads the accused to parole, is expected to be implemented immediately, perhaps tomorrow. The evidentiary process, moreover, due to the large number of witnesses is expected to be still many months.
