“Dimon, without these flags and foreign currency… your space program won’t be worth a damn.” Astronaut Scott Kelly wrote to Dmitry Rogozin, who replied

The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, has already been outraged by the sanctions imposed on Russia because of the situation in Ukraine, and now the official was outraged by the attacks on him by astronaut Scott Kelly – the one who was twice delivered into space by Soyuz rockets.

“Dimon, without these flags and foreign currency… your space program won’t be worth a damn.” Astronaut Scott Kelly wrote to Dmitry Rogozin, who replied

Dimon, without those flags and the foreign exchange they bring in, your space program won’t be worth a damn. Maybe you can find a job at McDonald’s if McDonald’s still exists in Russia,” wrote Scott Kelly on Twitter on March 6. And such an attack, of course, angered Rogozin. He did not expect suchdegree of “gratitude” for what Russia has done for the United States“.

As a result, the skirmish ended with Dmitry Rogozin suggesting that the astronaut may have dementia as a result of overload and stress from four space flights, and invited him to undergo an examination “at the Institute of the Brain of our Federal Medical and Biological Agency.” Interestingly, Dmitry Rogozin also associated the sanctions imposed on the Russian space program with a disease that reduces a person’s mental abilities – Alzheimer’s disease. That’s what he called them: “ALZ-GEIMER sanctions.”
