Dior makeup it had the surprise effect. It's not always so easy to innovate in the world of make-up and create an aesthetic that is close and wearable, without being obvious. Usually at fashion shows you see exaggerated and scenographic interpretations to create a spectacle on the catwalks, but in the case of the collection Dior autumn winter 2024/2025 just staged at Paris Fashion Week, the creative and image director of the maison, Peter Philipsachieved something unexpected just by reversing the traditional codes of makeup.

The models wore a eye make-up where the inner corner was loaded with raspberry/fuchsia eyeshadow applied imperfectly, it seems like a tribute to the creative director of the fashion house who passed away last September, Marc Bohan, who loved pink. A choice that proved to be in step with current trends because it winked at the Barbiecore aesthetic.
It was enough to give an interpretation outside the classic rules of chiaroscuro – usually the light eyeshadow is applied in the inner corner of the eye, and the dark one in the outer one – to give an original and yet unseen interpretation to the makeup.
These power pink eye they only required the support of a true, natural and brilliant complexion, without a shred of mascara, as the ideal stage: an idea that was easy to replicate and therefore ingenious.

Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup explains: «For this show, I created surprisingly vibrant eye makeup. Inspired by Marc Bohan, creative director of the fashion house Dior for 30 years, the inner corners of the eyes were dressed with a point of raspberry pink pigment. This colorful touch contrasts nicely with the glowing skin and the hairstyle that celebrates a classic chignon in a contemporary way. This bold color with intentional imperfections was applied spontaneously for a contrast effect, and creates a visionary and timeless beauty look.”
About Dior eye makeup Peter Philips says: «The striking look, created for the show, was the work of a pure and rich pigment, a vivid raspberry color, intuitively applied to the inner corner of the eye. The eyebrows were tidied up and structured with Diorshow Brow Styler And Diorshow On Set Brow.”
About the complexion he says: «The face was pure and natural thanks to the skin prepared with Dior Capture Totale Le Sérum And Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot around the eye contour. Next, I used Dior Forever Glow Star Filter as a highlighting primer and then blended it all out with Dior Forever Skin Glow followed by Dior Forever Skin Correct for touch-ups. As for the look, I still used it Dior Forever Glow Star Filter, to add a touch of light to the cheekbones, temples, bridge of the nose and Cupid's bow.” And for lips that looked natural: «They were slightly accentuated with a touch of Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil 000 Universal Clearbuffered to reduce the shine.”
On nails that looked natural it was used Dior Vernis 108 Muguet and her hair was pulled back into a chignon that defies classical interpretation.
