Directed and starring Dev Patel, “Primal Fury” hits theaters

The new film Dev Patel (“Slumdog Millionaire” and “Lion A Journey Home”), “Primal Fury” who directs and stars the plot, arrives in Brazilian cinemas this Thursday (22).

The plot, set in Batam, Indonesia, follows Kid, a young man who makes a living in an underground fight club, where he is beaten every night wearing a gorilla mask. After years, he finds a way to infiltrate the city's elite and has to deal with childhood traumas and a thirst for action.

“The film is a love letter to my family. It's about uniting the mythology that my father and grandfather told me and honoring the power of the most incredible woman in my life, my mother. And it's also about how far someone will go to avenge someone they love so deeply,” said the British actor, who also wrote the script alongside Paul Angunawela It is John Collee .

In addition to Patel, Sharlto Copley (“Elysium”), Pitobash (“My Name is Kalam”), Vipin Sharma (“Like Stars on Earth”), Sikandar Kher (“Aarya”), Sobhita Dhulipala (“Made in Heaven”) and more are also in the cast.
