The director of “Ghostbusters: Ice Apocalypse” Gil Kenan, confirmed more films in the franchise of Ghostbusters in the future .
“We take the responsibility and joy of being the keepers of the Ghostbusters flame very seriously… we will definitely continue to talk about telling great Ghostbusters stories on the big screen,” he said in an interview with The Direct.
“Stay tuned. They will have more. There will be news about this later”, he added.
Kenan also mentioned the development of an animated series in partnership with Netflix that should also enter the “Ghostbusters” universe: “This is something that I am actively involved with on a daily basis. Now, we’re really excited about the stories that are starting to be told there, and the way it intersects with the Ghostbusters stories that you and I love. It will be exciting for our audience.”
“Ghostbusters: Ice Apocalypse” premiered in theaters in April this year and brings together the new generation of ghostbusters with the cast of the first film, released in 1984.
