The director Marcelo Antunez (“Federal Police: The Law is for Everyone”) stated, in an interview with CNN which “Silvio” seeks to deconstruct the persona Silvio Santos and portray Mr. Abravanel the man behind the legendary TV presenter and founder of SBT. The film premieres in theaters on Thursday (12).
“We always say that Silvio [Santos] he is a unique figure… he was a unique figure as a communicator, as a businessman, in short, a series of skills. But he has one characteristic, that the general public knows, which is the character. The prosody, jokes, laughter”, he began.
“I think the greatest care we took, our greatest concern, was precisely to deconstruct the character a little, to find the human being behind Silvio Santos and discover who he is. Sir Abravanel,” he said.
