Discontent is brewing: Google announces huge fees even when using third-party payment platforms

According to Google’s statement above, Google will charge fees regardless of the payment method used. Content providers have said that, given the additional fees required by third-party payment platforms, the 4% difference is mostly equivalent to no difference.

This has already caused discontent in different countries of the world. South Korean Democratic Party spokesman Jo Seoung-lae said, “Google is pretending to give developers and users more options, but hasn’t made any changes to the high costs.” The Korea Communications Commission also said it will continue to monitor Google’s charging policies.
