Discover a portable wind turbine to charge electronics using the wind

Spending days camping in the middle of nature can be a great opportunity to disconnect, but the lack of electricity also brings some challenges. portable wind turbine could be the solution to generating enough power for your electronics anywhere — as long as there’s wind.

THE Shine turbine developed by Canadian company Aurea, can be carried inside a backpack and set up within two minutes on any stable surface.

The turbine, which automatically changes position to receive the wind at the best angle, produces electrical energy from the movement of the propellers. This energy can be used to charge electronic devices connected to the Shine via a USB cable, or it can be stored in the turbine’s battery for when needed.

Additionally, the portable turbine can be charged at home to function as a power bank, ensuring that there is a minimum charge for devices even if the wind takes a while to appear.

Shine can generate electricity in winds between 13 and 45 km/h, and can produce up to 40 watts of power for its internal 12,000 mAh battery. To charge devices, it has a USB-A connection that provides 13 watts (5V/2.6A).

The stronger and more constant the wind, the more electrical energy the turbine can produce.

According to the company, the Shine turbine generates a noise level of around 50 decibels while it is on, the approximate volume of a calm conversation or a refrigerator running, for example.

The product is not available in Brazil, but can be found at Shine website for prices starting at US$ 399.99 (approximately R$ 2,200.00).
