Discover which John Green books have already been adapted for film and TV

In addition to Nicholas Sparks which is known worldwide for its romance books and their adaptations, John Green is another name that stands out in having its works adapted for the big screen – whether in cinema or streaming.

“Turtles All the Way Down” his 2017 book, is being produced as a film and its release date has already been announced: May 2nd, at Max . This Thursday (04), the streaming service also shared the official poster and trailer for the film. Click here to watch.

“The Fault in Our Stars”, 2014

One of the author's best-known works is “The Fault in Our Stars”, which tells the story of Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort), two teenagers who meet in a support group for patients with cancer.

After being reluctant, Hazel gives in to the relationship and together, they travel to Amsterdam, where they embark on an unforgettable journey. The book, which was a success, was released two years before its theatrical release in 2014.

“Paper Towns”, 2015

A year later, John Green brought another plot to the big screen. “Paper Towns” tells the story of Margot (Cara Delevingne) and Quentin (Nat Wolff), who has a platonic passion for her, his neighbor.

“Who are you, Alaska?”, 2019

A few years later, the author decided to invest in a series to tell the story of one of his books. Over the course of eight episodes, the story of Alaska Young will be revealed, who arouses interest in Miles, who meets her when he enters a boarding school. However, an unexpected tragedy happens, changing plans between the two.

“Let the Snow Fall”, 2019

In the same year, John Green adapted another one of his books. However, this time, the story was shared and co-written with the authors Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle.

In “Let It Snow”, a blizzard hits a small town on Christmas Eve, putting friendships, romances and the future of a group of young people at stake. Netflix was responsible for production and the film remains available in its catalog.

Isabella Merced (“Madame Teia”) was present in the film and is also confirmed in Green’s new release, “Tartarugas Till There Below”.
