Discovered City of Maya 3,000 years: Found pyramids, sanctuaries and channels

Archaeologists discovered in Guatemala a Mayan city of about 3,000 years, carrying pyramids, sanctuaries and channels on the surface. According to a Guardian report, excavations were made in three locations – Los Abuelos, Petnal and Cambrayal – close to the important Mayan Uaxactún location in the Petén area of ​​northern Guatemala. The discoveries were made by archaeologists from Guatemala and Slovakia, along with international experts, in the framework of the Uaxactún Regional Archaeological Project (Paru) and with the support of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. The Mayan culture appeared around 2,000 BC. and reached its height between 400 and 900 AD, mainly in modern Mexico and Guatemala.
