Good news for fans of Nice to meet you! In a short video shared by Disney +, the stars of the famous 2007 film announced the release of the first installment on the digital platform, as well as the release date of the long-awaited sequel, Disenchanted.
It was Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, the protagonists of the story, who made the announcement, taking a small look at this new story with Giselle and Robert Philip. Recordings for the project began in May of this year. so its premiere has been one of the most anticipated by Disney fans.
According to Adams herself, Disenchanted it will be more than a simple musical or a parody of the typical princess stories, as its predecessor was. James Mardsen, Indina Menzel, and Susan Sarandon will return for this sequel, playing Prince Edward, his crush, Robert’s ex-girlfriend, and Queen Narissa, respectively.
In addition to the actors already known in history, Maya Rudolph will join the project as the villain Malvina, Kolton Stewart will be her son, Gabriella Baldacchino will play the older version of Morgan, Robert’s daughter, while Yvette Nicole Brown will be Rosalyn, and Jayme Mays will be Ruby.
As if that were not enough, it was confirmed that Disenchanted It will have scenes where Robert will sing, which means this project will be the first to have Dempsey play a role as a singer for the first time. Menzel, who had sung in the first installment but his scene ended up being eliminated, will return with a new theme for the film.
