After the success of “Inside Out 2” which became the highest grossing animation of all time , Bob Iger the Disney CEO revealed that he “would love” to see a new sequel to the film.
The confession was made during an interview with Good Morning America, which brought news about D23, Disney’s event for fans that takes place this Friday (9), in California. “I’m just going to say this”, mentioned the executive after stating that he would like to see a new sequel.
The animated sequel to the title released in 2015 hit theaters in the second half of June around the world and has already broken several records. The film achieved the highest box office of all time in Brazil and is Pixar’s highest grossing film. The title is also the biggest release of 2024 worldwide to date.
The plot has a time jump in relation to the first film: the protagonist Riley is now a teenager. As she matures, the young woman’s mind control room is undergoing demolition to make way for new emotions.
The familiar Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who have long run a successful operation, are unsure how to feel when the new tenants — Anxiety, Envy, Boredom and Shame — arrive on the scene.
