THE Disneyland Paris, The theme park, which is 30 km from the French capital and is temporarily closed due to the new coronavirus pandemic, will host a large vaccination center against COVID-19 that will open on Saturday, local authorities announced today, reports APE.
The large vaccination center will operate at Disneyland’s Newport Bay Club convention center in Disneyland. Paris, commonly used for business events.
The chosen site is located near the hotels, outside the amusement park itself. No thematic activities related to the park are foreseen.
Following a shutdown between March 13 and July 15, 2020, Disneyland Paris, which employs 17,000 people, has been closed since October 30 due to health restrictions on halting the pandemic.
The center “will vaccinate at least 1,000 people a day”, but will be open only on weekends, thanks to the mobilization of about sixty doctors, nurses, firefighters and reception staff, according to organizers.
The appointment will be made exclusively via the Internet, they clarified.
At a meeting at the presidential palace on Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the fact that vaccination against COVID-19 is accelerating in France, as nearly 18 million people have received a first dose.
