Two missiles hit the city of Dnipro, in east-central Ukraine, on Monday, the region’s military governor said.
Valentyn Reznichenko, head of Dnipro’s regional military administration, said via his Telegram channel that Synelnykiv and Pavlograd districts were hit by what he called “morning arrivals”.
“Two people were injured in Synelnykiv district. The missile hit an infrastructure facility. Rescue teams put out the fire,” he said.
No casualties were reported in Pavlograd, Reznichenko said, but the railway infrastructure was destroyed.
Dnipro was already hit by Russian missiles early in the war, when its airport was damaged. A missile attack in March put the runway out of use and damaged a terminal, according to Reznichenko, and another attack on April 10 destroyed more parts of the airport.
Lesia Vasylenko, a Ukrainian lawmaker, said the April 10 attack destroyed “everything around the airport”.
“A pity, as the airport was completely renovated last year. All investments and all efforts were completely destroyed.” Russia denies any kind of attack on Ukrainian civilians.
