Do you want to become farmers? Call for tenders for allocating agricultural land

I am almost 20 thousand hectares of land destined for future Italian agricultural entrepreneurs offered for sale by Ismea, Institution supervised by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. The tender, which will expire on 5 June 2023, represents the sixth edition of the project «National Bank of Agricultural Lands (BTA)», created to facilitate the meeting between land supply and demand. A project created in 2016, which in recent years has made it possible to reintroduce more than 17 thousand hectares of agricultural land into the production circuit with simple, telematic procedures open to all.

However, the return to the land is a rather dear topic to a generation disillusioned with the city, from its frenetic rhythms: slowly, the call of agriculture and a slower life is making itself felt, and this can be an excellent opportunity to start a rural project. Also because, if everyone can participate with a purchase proposal on the dedicated portal, special concessions are dedicated to the young agricultural entrepreneurs of tomorrow: all those under the age of 41, in fact, can have access to one installments (six-monthly or annually) on the sale pricewith an amortization plan up to a maximum of thirty years.

How to participate in the tender

Expressions of interest must be sent exclusively electronically using the dedicated portal of the BTA. All those who have expressed interest and who will be in possession of the subjective requisites for participation will be invited to participate in the competitive procedure with the sale without auction system. The economic offers, accompanied by the security deposit (fixed at 10% of the starting auction value of each individual land or lot for which interest has been expressed), must be received in a sealed envelope no later than forty-five days from the sending of the letter of invitation.

Participants in the procedure will be bound to their offer for 180 calendar days from the date of submission of the same. Up to the third attempt they will be allowed only offers of an amount not lower than the starting price: for the first three sales attempts, the bidder who has offered the highest price compared to the auction base will be awarded the award for each land; while from the fourth attempt free bids will be admitted both upwards and downwards with respect to the starting value of the auction, with a minimum value, below which the sale cannot take place, set at the amount of 35% of the starting value of the auction.

In particular, in this sixth edition of the call, they are already there 102 grounds returning to BTA after fourth attempt: for these it is possible to make an initial purchase offer directly on the dedicated portal and book the relaunch phase.

Where is the land located?

The almost 20,000 hectares of land are scattered throughout Italy, as shown by the map on the dedicated portal. In particular, in this edition of the call, Sicily dominates, which alone concentrates 36% of the auctioned surfaces, followed by Tuscany (13%), Sardinia (12%), Puglia (9%) and Basilicata (7%). Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige close the ranking.
