One anesthetist died of asphyxiation during a fire on his farm, last Wednesday (25), in Nova Monte Verde, in the interior of Mato Grosso. The medical examiner, José Correia de Oliveira Neto, was 67 years old.
According to the Civil Police, a person was called to death, apparently charred, in the middle of a pasture on a farm. At the scene, one of the employees led the team to the victim’s body.
In a note, the Official Expertise and Technical Identification (Politec) stated that José Correia was assigned to the Regional Management of Politec in Alta Floresta (MT). Politec lamented the death and expressed solidarity with family and friends for what happened.
Through a note of condolence, the State Department of Health also lamented the death. The ministry stated that the man had worked at the Regional Hospital since 2006, when the unit was still managed by the City Hall.
“The State Department of Health (SES-MT) expresses its deep regret at the death of anesthetist José Correia de Oliveira Neto, who dedicated 18 years of his professional life to the Alta Floresta Regional Hospital,” said SES-MT.
