The second season of the new version of “Doctor Who” debut on Saturday (12). In all, they will be Eight new episodes which will debut weekly (one episode a week). Remember the events of the first part of the story below.
In the second season, the character Doctor Who (NCUTI GATWA) Know Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) and begins a time to take her back to Earth. However, a mysterious force is preventing its return and the Tardis team that travels in time needs to face hazards, enemies and terrors larger than ever.
The cast of the new season is also composed of the actors Millie Gibson, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave and Susan Twist.
Remember the events of Season 1 of “Doctor Who”
In the first season, launched in December 2023, Ncuti Gatwa became the 15th Doctor . He and Ruby Sunday traveled over time and space, facing dangerous threats while developing a special connection.
The first chapter was special Christmas and called “The Ruby Street Church”.
Ruby was abandoned by her biological parents, as a baby, outside a church. When her foster mother adopts another child, she sees goblins kidnapped and embarks on her flying ship and trying to save him. There she knows the doctor.
After “defeating” the goblins together, the two continue to meet. As a form of revenge, the same goblins come back in time and eat Ruby as a baby.
The doctor uses Tardis to return in time to save her, destroying the goblins and his ship in the process
A year after the first episode premiere, in December 25, 2024 another Christmas special (“Joy for the World”) was released, with the intention of ending the story of the first season.
The episode presents Doctor and Ruby attracted to an alternative London, where Christmas is prohibited by an entity called Frost Monarch . This dark being, who feeds on people’s hopelessness, keeps the city in an eternal winter, draining joy and imposing a cold tyranny.
Ruby, once again showing her courage and empathy, leads a makeshift choir who sings classic Christmas songs, arousing genuine feelings of hope in the population. The doctor then uses this positive energy to defeat Frost Monarch, banishing it to an empty dimension and restoring peace in the city.
