Documents stolen from Nvidia shed light on Nintendo Switch 2. The console will support DLSS

Hacking Nvidia’s internal network has already led to a series of leaks. Yesterday, hackers published the source code of the proprietary technology DLSS 2.2, which can give an advantage to competitors in the face of AMD and Intel. A little later, interesting details about the GeForce RTX 40 3D cards appeared. And now the light has been shed on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The stolen archive contains the NVN2 and NVNDLSS folders. Given that the proprietary programming interface used to develop Switch solutions is designated NVN, it is obvious that the NVN2 folders contain documents related to the Nintendo Switch 2. Well, NVNDLSS indicates support for this technology by the console.

The documents also mention the T239 platform. We have already written about her. This SoC is credited with a 12-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU and Ampere architecture GPU with 2048 CUDA cores. The platform will support 200GB/s LPDDR5 RAM, nearly 10 times more than the current Switch’s Tegra X1. The performance of the Orion T239 is expected to roughly match the mobile GeForce RTX 3050.
