Dogs can detect coronavirus in humans

The dogs can detect coronavirus in sweat of the people.

This supports new research that may pave the way for the widespread use of specially trained dogs in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the research, which was done in National Veterinary School of France, The dogs were asked to smell sweat samples from the participants in the study which were in special glasses and two dogs passed through each sample.

None of the specially trained dogs had come in contact with the volunteers.

They participated in the research 335 people and 9 dogs. From them 109 tested positive for molecular tests.

As reported by Bloomberg, According to the French study, the detection rate of coronavirus in dogs reached 97%, while dogs also detected disease-negative percentages 91%.

Specially trained dogs can be used in all crowded areas, such as airports or train stations.
