After rising the day before, taking off from the drop in markets abroad, the Ibovespa futures operated at a drop of just over 1%, at 109,500 points, on the morning of this Wednesday (7), indicating a negative opening here.
The dollar has a slight fall of 0.1%, quoted at R$ 5.26. Investors are cautious ahead of the vote on the PEC of the Explosion in the Senate plenary and waiting for the Central Bank’s monetary policy decision.
On Tuesday, the main index of the stock market took off from the international exchanges with the change in the PEC, which now provides that Bolsa Família would not be removed from the spending ceiling. The text approved by the Senate CCJ opens a space within the spending ceiling for Bolsa Família of R$ 145 billion.
The fact that the program is kept within the ceiling reduces the perception of fiscal risk, because it removes the idea of an implosion of the spending ceiling completely, and approaches the idea of a kind of “pull”.
The feeling in the market is that the rapporteur’s decision brings more constraints to the program and lessens the perception of risk and the fear of lack of control of public finances.
