The dollar started this Monday (20) in high against the real. The reason is related to investor fears that the Ômicron variant will lead large economies to adopt tougher measures to combat Covid-19.
Given this situation, the trend is for the market to seek assets considered safe. The American currency is among them.
At 9:08 am (Brasilia), the dollar in cash advanced 0.30%, at R$ 5.7015 on sale. At the same time, on B3, the dollar futures contract with the first maturity rose 0.06%, to R$5.7165.
In the last session, on Friday (17), the spot dollar rose 0.08%, to R$ 5.6845 on sale.
In this trading session, the Central Bank will make a net offer of up to 14 thousand traditional exchange rate swap contracts, distributed between the maturities of August 1st and October 3rd, 2022.
The autarchy will also make available up to 15 thousand traditional foreign exchange swap contracts to rollover the maturity of February 1, 2022.
