Achieving the life of luxury that we always dream of can be complicated but not impossible. This was demonstrated by Yanina Alfaro, originally from Argentina, who through TikTok shows her lifestyle full of luxuries and expensive trips, all due to her employment and effort as a domestic worker.
Yanina, 44, has said that people do not believe that her job gives her the earnings necessary to lead such a lifestyle. In addition, she is constantly judged, branded a liar and discriminated against for her work. However, the words of others do not stop her momentum and her desire to get ahead.
Yanina started working at the age of 18 selling coffee from a cart, later she ventured into domestic activities and little by little began to establish her schedules and quotas, managing to pay for a lifestyle that today allows her to vacation in different parts of the world, including Disneyland.
Also, during the pandemic, Yanina opened an account on TikTok, where she shows her cleaning routines, tips to improve work and obtain better benefits.
Many colleagues follow me. They say I ‘inspire’. I told them that they have to charge from 500 pesos (Argentina) an hour and up. Who can not pay that does not have an employee. Nowadays, a person who leaves your house impeccable so that when you arrive you have everything like a hotel is a luxury service that not everyone can access.
What caught the most attention in Yanina’s TikTok videos was not her cleaning tips, but her luxurious trips to Argentina, Disneyland and other parts of the world.
Unfortunately, sharing this part of her life brought her constant criticism, as no one believed that she would be able to pay for her trips just by cleaning houses. Yanina clarified to her haters that everything he has is the result of his effort and work, which can take him until 7:00 p.m. a day.
To enjoy myself as I want, I have to get up at 6:00 am, because nobody is going to give me anything. I get up early and then spend a week in the most expensive hotel in Ushuaia… I don’t work four hours. There are 12 hours a day, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
I manage my time here. If I don’t go to work, it’s not the death of anyone. It’s not that I take care of boys. If one day I don’t go to clean, nothing happens. If I get sick, nothing happens. If I have to ask for a day, neither. If I want vacations, less. And, in addition, I charge it well.
Yanina has become the role model for domestic workers, who have taken her advice, reassessed their work, increased their quotas and obtained what they so desire: a decent life.
