Dona Onete, the biggest name of Carimbó from Pará, is hospitalized in Pará

The singer from Pará Dona Onete, 83, is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in a hospital in Belém, Pará, to treat a lung infection.

According to information from the family on her Instagram profile, the artist is in a stable condition, is conscious and looking forward to returning to care at home with family and friends. This Friday (11), she sang for the hospital staff.

In the same profile, Dona Onete asks “fans to send positive energy so that she recovers soon and have peaceful hearts, because our queen is receiving the best care”.

Dona Onete, this year received the Tradições Troféu, granted by the Brazilian Union of Composers (UBC), for her contribution to the formation of Brazilian culture.

The singer is considered one of the great names of carimbó in Brazil, with songs like “Banzeiro”, “No meio do Pitiú”, “Jamburana” and others that are successful with the Pará and Brazilian public.
