United States President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he plans to withdraw sanctions against Syria after the fall of the Assad regime, which he said will “give them a chance of greatness.”
Trump said in comments to a Saudi investment forum that made the decision after discussing her with Saudi Heir Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, as well as Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“I will order the suspension of sanctions against Syria in order to give them a chance of greatness,” Trump said.
