The ex President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on Wednesday the launch of its own social networking site. His name will be «Truth Social». After being expelled from the platforms in January Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, who accused him of inciting violence by his followers even before the attack on Capitol on January 6, he decided to set up his own service.
“I created Truth Social and the Trump Media and Technology Group to resist the tyranny of the tech giants,” said the politician and businessman, adding that the new site would be operational by 2022. The company manages the group to be admitted to Χstock exchange of New York.
“We live in a world where the Taliban have a huge presence on Twitter, yet your beloved American President is silenced. “This is unacceptable,” the real estate mogul explained, adding that the purpose of the new site would be to “give a voice” to “everyone”.
The application to access the site is already available for pre-order at Apple App Store and its pilot (“beta”) operation will begin for invited users in November, according to a company press release. A video subscription service will also be offered.
