US President-elect Donald Trump has offered Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik the post of US ambassador to the UN, CNN reported Sunday, citing two of its sources. Ms. Stefanik, 40, who is elected in New York and is currently the fourth-ranking GOP caucus in the lower House, has been described as a staunch ally of Mr. Trump in recent years and was already thought to be under consideration for the office, equivalent to a ministerial position in the American government. “President-elect Trump will begin making decisions about who will serve in his second administration soon.
