Donald Trump spoke about Bitcoin

US presidential candidate Donald Trump admitted that Bitcoin is becoming increasingly popular. He also supported the idea of regulating this asset.

The politician shared his opinion on this matter during an interview with Fox News before the primaries in South Carolina. The issue of Bitcoin arose amid Trump's criticism of the central bank digital currency (CBDC).

The presenter cited the example of China, whose authorities are actively working to launch this payment solution. When asked if Bitcoin approval would be the next logical step for Trump, he replied:

“I have always liked one currency – the dollar. Bitcoin, it has taken on a life of its own. Obviously, we will still need some kind of regulation. However, it is popular. I see more and more people who want to pay with Bitcoin. It's something interesting and I can relate to it. But I always liked the dollar.”

Previously, Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized crypto assets, in particular Bitcoin. However, the politician changed his position. Not only has he invested in cryptocurrencies, but he has also released several of his own NFT collections.
