Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer pleads guilty to trying to sway Georgia election

Another former member of his legal team pleaded guilty Donald Trump. Lawyer Jenna Ellis pleaded guilty today to charges related to the attempted assassination of the former Republican president of the United States to overturn his election defeat in the State of Georgia.

According to APE – MEP, Ellis pleaded guilty to her charge inciting false depositions and statements. Based on her agreement, she will be sentenced 5 years in prison with probation and must pay $5,000 in restitution. She is also required to testify against Trump and his co-defendants if the case goes to trial.

Jenna Ellis is third attorney to reach plea deal with Georgia prosecutors so as not to be brought to trial. Last week, attorneys Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chisebro pleaded guilty in the same case.
