Donate Day: Casa do Porco, Cora, La Braciera and other renowned restaurants come together in solidarity action

In day November 29th is celebrated the Giving Day, action that engages people around the world in order to promote the culture of donation.

This year, the gastronomic consultant Danny Simon and partner of the restaurant blush and the Neapolitan-inspired pizzeria La Braciera managed to bring together a strong team from São Paulo’s gastronomy to do good with the Rizomas Institute and help to fight food insecurity of families in Capão Redondo.

More than thirty renowned addresses in São Paulo will sell twenty vouchers worth R$100 each, which entitle the customer to spend R$120 in a single visit, not including the service fee. Vouchers will be available on the 29th on the Ingresse platform (www.ingresso.com), and with a period of use until January 31.

“With the action we have the potential to raise almost R$ 70 thousand reais”

says Dany.

The entire amount raised will be reverted to the purchase of basic food baskets that will be delivered monthly throughout 2023. Among the participating restaurants, in addition to La Braciera and Cora, are the celebrated Pasta Shihoma, A Casa do Porco, which is on the list in the five best restaurants in Latin America, the Portuguese Tasca da Esquina, the Japanese Aizomê and the hamburger restaurant Z Deli, in addition to the cool bars Tantin, Lardo and Hirá Ramen Izakaya. Other confirmed names are Jiquitaia, Elea, Le Jazz, Martin Fierro, Fitó, Baru, Mico, Leggera and Hospedaria.

Rizomas is an educational institute that operates in Capão Redondo promoting quality education so that every child can be an agent of transformation in their environment. Among the initiatives is the Contraturno Escolar which, through active methodologies and a focus on the development of socio-emotional skills, teaches Portuguese, mathematics and English during the period outside of school.
