The leaders of the “Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics”, as recognized by the Kremlin, have appointed their ambassadors to Russia, according to the Russian news agency Ria Novosti.
In particular, the leader of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”, Denys Pushylin, signed a decree according to which this position will be taken by the deputy head of the “Donetsk People’s Council”, Olha Makeyeva.
Rodion Miroshnyk, in turn, became ambassador of the “Luhansk People’s Republic” to Moscow, according to a decree issued by its leader Leonid Pasechnik.
Both decrees entered into force on the day of their signing.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that on May 6, the newly appointed ambassadors handed over copies of their credentials.
