Analysts at Canalys evaluated the PC market at the end of 2020 and published a corresponding report. It contains a lot of different information, revealing interesting details regarding different segments.

For example, the Chromebook market in the last quarter amounted to 11.2 million, and by the end of the whole year grew to 30.7 million. In the first case, this is almost four times more than a year ago, and in the second – more than twice.

Analysts do not provide data on the PC market without taking into account tablets, but if you roughly count it yourself, it turns out that Chromebooks in the PC market at the end of the year took about 10% of the market, and at the end of the last quarter – more than 12%.

Among the manufacturers of Chromebooks, Samsung can be distinguished, which at the end of the year, although it took fifth place, showed a fivefold increase in sales. At the same time, Lenovo increased deliveries by 15 times in the fourth quarter!

As for the tablet market, it grew by 54% over the quarter and 28% over the year. Apple, of course, remained the leader, but it showed growth by 24% (at the end of the year), while Samsung and Lenovo increased sales by 40% and 70%, respectively.
