Doom with sensual dance in a temple in Spain – Priest forced to resign

A saint was forced to resign and an archbishop to apologize for allowing a rapper to do the shooting inside Toledo Cathedral for the video clip of his song. In it, he appears to be dancing sensually with a singer, while the faithful take a sneak peek at the couple.

In the video clip for the song entitled “Atheist”, the Spanish rapper C. Tangana dances sensually with the singer from Argentina Nathy Peluso. “I’m an atheist, but now I believe / because a miracle like you must come from heaven,” the couple sings.

At some point, Peluso appears naked, with the pixels hiding the controversial parts of her body. In her hand she holds the severed head of the rapper.

The faithful are angry with the video clip in the cathedral

The believers were angry with these images, who expressed their indignation on social media.

“I would like to know for what price his cathedral sold Toledo the sanctity of the temple to C. Tangana “, wrote a user, according to the Daily Mail.

“I would like to know if the archbishop agrees with the desecration of his episcopal see,” another comment said.

The apology of the archdiocese

In a statement issued after the video was released, Archbishop Francisco Cerro Chaves apologized, saying he had no knowledge of the project or its contents.
“We humbly and sincerely ask for the forgiveness of all the faithful… who rightly felt offended by this inappropriate use of a sacred place,” he added.

The archbishop said he felt “deeply remorseful for the incident and condemns the plans made” in the Cathedral.

However, the shooting of the video clip also led to the resignation of the priest, Juan Miguel Ferrer, who gave his permission for the project. His resignation was announced last Tuesday.

Apologizing for any mistakes he may have made regarding the events of the last few days, the priest said he considered it right to resign, a resignation that will take effect on October 16.

The resignation was accepted by the archbishop, who invited the faithful to participate in a service on Sunday to “clean up” the cathedral after the shooting of the video clip.
