At least 93 Palestinians were killed today, Tuesday 29/10, and dozens more were injured by an Israeli strike on a residential building in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahia, according to the Palestinian enclave’s Ministry of Health and Civil Protection. “The number of witnesses to the carnage at the residence belonging to the Abunasr family in Beit Lahia has risen to 93 and about 40 people are believed to be under the rubble,” Mahmoud Basal, a civil protection spokesman, told AFP. Doctors said 20 children were among the dead. “Many people are still under the rubble and on the streets and ambulances and civil protection crews cannot reach them,” the enclave’s health ministry said in a statement. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli side. The Israeli often disputes the human casualty figures published by the Hamas Information Office, saying they are often overstated.
