A passenger carrying illegally live snakes to Mubai Airport was arrested yesterday, Sunday, customs authorities in India and this is the third seizure of this kind of the competent authorities within a month. “Customs authorities have prevented a new attempt to smuggle wild animals, 16 live snakes were seized by a passenger returning from Thailand,” the Customs Authorities of the Grand City of India said. The man, who landed yesterday at the airport, was arrested and “further investigation is being carried out,” the customs authorities said in a statement issued. The load included mainly snakes that are not poisonous, or their poison is too weak to attack humans and often sold as pets.
