Draghi: Coronavirus emergency in Italy ends on March 31

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi recently announced that “in Italy, the state of emergency to deal with the coronavirus will not be extended beyond March 31.” Almost all the bans that have been in place for the last two years will be lifted.

The Italian Prime Minister added that it will no longer apply to differentiate the country’s regions in three colors, depending on the cases. The “super vaccination certificate” will be phased out from April to July. The first “relaxation”, with the abolition of the vaccination certificate will concern the open spaces and in particular the sporting events, the exhibitions, celebrations and spectacles.

“Our goal is to reopen everything, as soon as possible, but continuing to closely monitor the evolution of the pandemic, to intervene again in case the situation recurs,” said Draghi. “Schools will remain open at all times, quarantine will be lifted due to contact with positive cases,” added the head of the Roman government.
